Our Story
From Rome to Vancouver
Che Bono was created by brothers Roberto and Riccardo Granito as a way to bring a piece of Rome into the everyday life of Vancouver.
What began around food quickly became something more personal — a project shaped by family, migration, hospitality and the desire to create experiences where people genuinely feel welcome.
Roberto, born and raised in Italy, brings years of experience in hospitality, restaurant operations and Italian cuisine. As the culinary mind behind Che Bono, he developed "The Porchetta Panini Experience" inspired by his Roman roots, combining tradition with a more modern and community-centered approach to catering and events.
But the vision behind Che Bono was also deeply influenced by Riccardo's experience growing up and navigating the world as a wheelchair user.
For many years, certain industries, spaces and opportunities did not always feel naturally accessible. Moving to Canada changed that perspective. It opened the possibility to participate more freely in environments that felt more inclusive, collaborative and designed with people in mind.
Today, Riccardo contributes to the operational and digital side of Che Bono while helping shape a hospitality experience rooted in accessibility, inclusion and human connection — not as a statement, but as a natural part of how the brand exists and grows.
Together, Che Bono reflects a shared belief that hospitality should feel warm, welcoming and accessible to everyone.
As the project evolves, Roberto and Riccardo hope to continue building meaningful experiences through office lunches, pop-ups, community events and future collaborations with organizations and businesses that value inclusion, accessibility and community engagement.
From Rome to Vancouver, Che Bono is ultimately about people — and the moments that happen when food brings them together.
